iYoga app review: browse hundreds of videos for all ability

Price: $4.99

iYoga – Premium by 3D4Medical.com, LLC provides you with a vast amount of content, including hundreds of videos that demonstrate the various yoga poses and display the muscles that are used.
It was updated on January 17, 2013.

iYoga utilizes motion-capture technology to present the most accurate and precise representations of the poses, giving you the ideal instructional guide to learn yoga.

User Experience

The attention to detail that has gone into this app is really quite clear from the moment you start it up. The use of motion-capture technology brings the animated poses to life in a way you’ve probably never seen before, and what’s more, the user interface and entire layout and navigation are wonderfully streamlined and easy to use.

The design of the interface is rather bold, with a stark black background which accentuates the animations and overall content very nicely.

Features

This app includes 80 different yoga poses with the option to buy an additional 114 advanced poses via in-app purchase.

Depending on your ability level, you can adjust the amount of time you hold each pose, as well as either selecting from a list of preset programs or creating your own based upon your preferences and abilities.

Furthermore, the isolated muscle view offers a unique look at the muscles that are utilized in each pose, demonstrating both the flex and stretch portions of the movement.

iYoga – Premium also enables you to use Airplay to project the app onto an HDTV so you can throw away your exercise DVDs and design your very own personalize program to play in the comfort of your living room.

In-App Purchases

If you’re a more advanced yogi, check out the Intermediate and Advanced Poses Package for $4.99.

The update also improved upon the in-app purchase downloading process and included the addition of the ability to Gift iYoga – Premium to others.

If you are interested in learning yoga poses then iYoga – Premium is an absolute must-have app because the amount of content on here and the way in which it is presented makes it the ideal tool for beginners and intermediates alike.

As you progress and become more advanced, you might like to try the advanced poses available via in-app purchase, but the content included in the initial download are well worth paying for and will keep you going for a long time.
