Flick Soccer!: Fun from the First 'Flick'

Searching "flick" in the App Store brings up 150+ iPhone games, so you know any app that stands out among them must be good. Flick Soccer!, made by UK based game developer Full Fat Games, mimics the controls and general idea of their previous successful games: Flick Golf! and Flick Golf Extreme!. Like the golf apps, Flick Soccer is a super good game. One of the best things about this game are the controls. Like the title suggests, you simply flick or swipe to control the direction and speed of the soccer ball. Flick Soccer includes 5 different modes of play: Quickshot, Endurance, Challenge, Crossbar, and Smash It. In each of these modes, there are defenders or a goalie in your way forcing you to curve the ball around them. It takes time to bend it like Beckham but once you get the hang of it, you start to believe you are actually married to Posh Spice. Like many other games in the App Store, Flick Soccer features Game Center integration for high scores and achievements.

While some games are fun only after you master the controls or practice for a while, Flick Soccer is fun from the moment you pick it up. Although it includes five modes, they are closely related enough so as to not feel distinct and therefore may cut down on replay value. However, don't let this discourage you from getting this game as it is a must have for anyone who likes Full Fat Game’s previous games or is a fan of soccer.
