'Fruit Roll' is Juicy Rolling Fun

Fruit Roll, made by MoboTap Games and published by Chillingo, is an action packed app and a joy to play. The game belongs to the infinite runner genre as you utilize different kinds of fruit to roll across your map to defeat hungry critters intent on munching you.

You start as a long fruit rolling for action on a side scrolling map. Finger tap once on the screen and you jump; finger tap twice and you execute a double jump. You gain points by collecting stars and along the way different colored fruit are available lending their unique abilities to help defeat enemies.  The first ability is passive automatically countering a specific enemy. The second ability is only active once you’ve filled the three empty slots on the right side of your screen with the same colored fruit: (a) Yellow fruit squashes caterpillars and also slows you down (b) red fruit bulldozes frogs and speeds you up (c) purple fruit smacks away flying squirrels and makes you tiny and (d) brown fruit knocks down hanging monkeys and makes you big.

You can use fruit to attack your enemies or to dodge them although the latter seems to earn more stars. Once a level is finished, your speed accelerates ready for the next level. In latter levels, the real challenge centers around quick reaction times and getting the right colored fruit to get to the next level.  Fruit Roll is a captivating game and a solid installment in the infinite runner genre.
