What do you get when you combine intentionally overwrought Japanese animation, color coordinated B-movie monster rejects, and a tumbling tower that would give Jenga a run for its money? You get Adult Swim and PikPok’s new match-3 game
Monsters Ate My Condo.
You’re in charge of controlling a rainbow condominium, where monsters run rampant outside your window waiting to be fed from the stack of ever-growing, wobbly condo floors. Two fantastically flamboyant monsters, complete with gnashing teeth and hungry eyes, stand on opposite sides of your tower. In order to keep them happy you feed them by swiping your finger across the gradually stacked layers of your condo. They’ll eat any floor you swipe, but are made especially happy by coordinated colored floors. For example, the very blue unicorn, Reginald Starfire, is most elated when he is served up blue floors that match his shiny coat.
You score points based on your stacking skills. Three or more same-color floors in a row create a bronze floor. Three bronze floors form a silver, three silvers form a gold, three golds form a diamond. Diamonds are the ultimately sought after combo creator. If you’re slide-savvy enough to form a triple diamond combo, your screen will go into what can only be described as an exploding rainbow rave of success.
Your monster friends aren’t just there to look pretty and destroy residential high rises—each monster has a special skill. Activate these powers by sliding specific tower levels their way. These powers will help you manage and maintain your not-so-structurally sound condo.
Be on the lookout for bombs that will make their way into your condo’s levels. If left untouched for too long, these devices can detonate and destroy your tower. Most importantly, be vigilant, it won’t be long before your tower looks prime for the tumblin’.
With awesome effects, colorful visuals, and humor that can only be accredited to the eccentric minds at Adult Swim,
Monsters Ate My Condo is definitely worth the $0.99 download. So, get your comically charged, anime-monster-fighting goggles on, and get ready to defend your rapidly developing condo.
