Ultraviolet ~ UV Index by Robocat is great for people who are sensitive to sunlight or who have children and want to make sure they aren’t exposed to UV rays for too long. It was updated on August 7, 2011 and requires 19.4MB of storage space.

Color-coded UV Index readings and forecasts will provide you with the information you need, and each reading comes with its own set of precautionary measures to help you minimize the risk even further.

This app displays the current UV Index for your local area and if you are planning or a trip or are just a little curious, you can check out UV readings from all across the globe. Ultraviolet ~ UV Index also includes forecasts for midday the following day so you can always stay prepared and be one day ahead. To get the current UV Index or a forecast for your current location, you can use Auto Locate when the app first starts up or alternatively you can simply search for your location manually.

Furthermore, this app includes useful hints and tips on how you can protect yourself and your family from UV rays, as well as which precautionary measure are most suitable for a given UV Index reading.
