Downloading this app is free but when you launch it you’ll see that you need to make in-app purchase in order to play the game. The game itself is very simple to play. You are given a number on a hockey jersey icon and your job is to guess the last name of the player who would wear the jersey.

Features of this app include more than 200 famous hockey player numbers that you will have fun guessing. Each time you get the right answer you'll be able to unlock trophies and earn stars. These stars can be used to buy help buttons for when you get stuck on a jersey. You may purchase stars if you don't want to wait to earn them.

There are a number of in-app purchases including star packages and the pro quiz. Star packages range from $0.99 to $4.99 and the pro quiz is priced at $1.99.

Version 2.0 features a number of fixes and improvements so that it runs more smoothly.

While I can see how this would be fun for hockey fans I wasn’t impressed with the fact that you can’t even play the game without first making an in-app purchase.
