Roamer by VIR2SIM Ltd. is a travel app that will help you save a dramatic amount on your roaming fees when you're traveling. With this app all you need to do is link your mobile number with a foreign SIM and you'll be able to enjoy incredible savings; in fact, it's up to 90 percent that you will save! User Experience

This app is extremely simple to use and set up. There is a tutorial offered when you first launch it that is well worth using as it will take you through all the necessary steps. Before you know it you will have your number linked and you'll be able to start making and accepting calls at a fraction of the roaming costs.

Features

With this app you'll actually be able to keep your phone number to use for outgoing and incoming calls. The app uses GSM to connect the calls which gives a sharper, crisper sound quality than WiFi or 3G.

Once you arrive at your destination buy a SIM card and then you will start saving immediately. There is a catch, however: your phone must be carrier lock-free in order for the app to work.

By inserting a SIM card while abroad you'll be able to get a much cheaper data plan which is how you can save up to 90 percent. The process itself is only three steps which begins with forwarding your incoming calls to the service number. Next you buy the SIM card in your destination. Lastly you will link your number to the new SIM card in the Roamer app. It's just that fast and easy.

The app doesn't have enough ratings for iTunes to display an average. Although there was not an average customer rating there was a comment for the app in which the user was not able to get it to work and encountered a bug with the app.

I was lukewarm on this app. It had some great features and I can see how it could possibly save you a lot of money, but there still seem to be some bugs that need to be worked out. Considering the savings you could enjoy by using this app it’s probably worth giving a try.
