Photo Reflection app review: add a reflection to any of your photos

Introduction

Photo Reflection by Big Blue Clip LLC offers you the option to quickly and easily add customizable reflections to any of your photos. The app comes with tons of different functions to edit the photo you’re working on. You can make the reflection you add completely your own. Without expecting much from another free photo editing app, I am pleasantly surprised and this app might have earned a spot in my Photo folder on my device.

Reflection Options

After selecting a photo to work with from your Camera Roll (there is no option to take one there and then from within the app), three main editing options come available. The first one is the clarity of the reflection. Want it to be an actual mirror effect? That’s possible, as well as making the reflection less visible to add a different effect to the photo.

The second option is the amount of reflection you want. This basically slices off a part of the reflection, leaving you with exactly the part of the reflection you want to keep. The third option is simple: on what side of the photo would you like the reflection?

The fifth button on the screen is the option to save the photo, or share it via Facebook, Twitter or email.

 

In-Depth Editing Options Make This App a Must-Try

Tapping on the photo brings up a huge number of editing options. These options allow you to enhance the photo, add all kinds of effects, add stickers (although you have to download a free update for this), turn the photo, and crop the edges. The list continues as it lets you change brightness, contrast saturation and sharpness, as well as letting you add text and draw on the photo. It even comes with red eye reduction, a whitening tool,  and a blemish tool.

This editor is made by Aviary, a company that created this freely available photo editor that developers can add to their app in a matter of minutes!

Conclusion

This app was a real eye opener for me. It’s the first photo editing app that actually made me want to use it. There are no useless features of adding flame effects or adding hearts and roses to the photo, but just very to-the-point options. The reflections on the photos look great, are easily customizable and very quick to add on.

Having the Aviary editor embedded in this app is fantastic. It gives so much freedom to have all the basic editing needs available without having to go into another app. 

I would recommend this app to anyone who is in to taking photos with their device, except people who use Instagram, as there is no option available to share via that social network. The app is designed for both iPhone and iPad and requires about 16 MB of storage space.
