Booking a room with this app should be rather straightforward, as this is the main functionality of the app. In reality this app currently sits as just the Best Western website implemented in an app. You can search a hotel in your neighborhood, compare hotels, refine your search and save searches.

That is exactly everything you can do on the website. Booking the hotel room is easy. Just fill in your details and you’ve got a reservation. Just like on their home page.

Apparently, this app also support Trip It itineraries , but no functionality is found about this within the app, and according to the iTunes description, you need to email your trip confirmation to a Trip It email address. You might as well just create your own itinerary. 

So what happened to the other promised features?

None of the other promised features are implemented in the app. When the app boots up, you get a mention that they are working on the new iPad app, but this is not mentioned on the product page of iTunes and therefor very misleading for any customer getting this app.

As for now, this app is useless. No restaurant search is available, only the content that is on their website. Just visit their page, it is probably faster too. It's no wonder that the review score currently sits at two and a half stars. I would rate it even lower.

Best Western really lets you down with this app. Even though it's 7 MB in size, I would never recommend this app to anyone. None of the promises made on the iTunes page for the app come true, and the app is clearly not created for iPad, even though this is said on the same page.

I hope they get a great app designer in and make this app into what it should be, as there is a lot of potential to create a great app with great content.

The only reason why you should download this app at the moment is to find out when they release the new update. Just visit their website and get an email sent with your booking confirmation, it saves a lot of hassle.
