Catalog Spree app review: never miss a good deal

Introduction

Catalog Spree is designed for those who just love to shop and find a great deal. Each day you can launch the app and find new and fabulous deals at some of the leading retailers in the country without having to search for all the information on your own. Think of it as a time-saving, money-saving way to shop.

Shopping Made Easy

With this app you'll have access to more than 350 top brands giving you the ability to scroll through and browse as you like. Most people appreciate a good deal but the problem is you need to know about the deal in order to take advantage of it. Why not let someone else do all the work for you and provide you with the information?

When you find a deal that interest you, just tap on it for more information. From there you can do such things as check out more items by viewing the catalog, view all the current deals and sales, request a catalog be sent to you, and create a gift/wish list. You’ll also be provided with the retailer’s phone number so you can contact them.

It’s important to note that each retail catalog offers different options and tools to use, some will provide you with quite a few tools while others you can look at the catalog and that’s about it.

Passing the Word Along

The app also makes it possible to share catalogs with friends and family by email so you can share the deals. At the same time if there is a catalog from a store you aren’t interested in you can choose to “hide it from the store” so you don’t have to keep passing over it.

The app is quick and easy to use. Likely you’ll find there are a lot of deals/catalogs that don’t interest you so you can just quickly swipe over them. In general the stores offered a nice broad selection and there were many I wouldn’t have even thought to check on my own.

While the app has some cool and neat features it is also a bit basic. It would be great if the options and tools were more uniform and that all the retailers offered the same great functions.

Pros

• Very easy and quick to use, making it convenient to check anytime
• You're able to share catalogs with friends and family by email
• Many of the catalogs offer extra functions and features straight from the app
• The ability to “hide” catalogs that don’t interest you so you don’t have to scroll through them

 

Cons

• There may be a lot of catalogs you aren’t interested in, which means you could be “hiding” quite a few
• Some catalogs offer very little features/functions
• The app feels a bit lacking; it could do with a bit more finesse

 

A Shopper’s Companion?

So is this a shopper’s companion tool? While it can definitely help you locate some fabulous deals and browse catalogs I wouldn’t go so far as to say this is the ultimate shopper’s companion tool.
