Introduction
Following a very simple, but highly sought-after concept, Song Express enables you to email tracks from your music library as MP3 or M4A files directly to your friends so that they can play them seamlessly on their own computers or even their mobile devices.
One very frustrating thing about this app is that you can only attach up to 10MB worth of songs to any one email. This means that tracks which are more than a few minutes in length and have a reasonably decent bitrate aren’t going to work with Song Express.
Size Limits are Very Restricting
Before discussing the flaws of this app, I would like to point out that it is incredibly well-developed and is very easy to use. You literally have to tap one big button on the screen to bring up your music library and begin adding tracks to your email list.
You can also add as many tracks as you want to a single email and you can select multiple tracks before tapping the Done button and importing them for processing.
Once Song Express has finished processing your songs, it will bring up the email so that you can type in your recipient, subject line, and add any additional messages to the body text.
Suitable for Shorter Songs
This all sounds fantastic and I was very excited when I first started using this app; however, the fact that you can only attach up to 10MB of songs to a single email is a huge restriction which makes this app almost useless to me.
Case in point: I attempted to process a full album and only one song made it through!
I think mainstream pop music would be suitable with Song Express because the tracks are usually only a few minutes in length, so I would still recommend checking out this app.
It’s really going to depend on the length of the songs and the audio quality, so a little bit of experimentation might be needed to achieve the best results.

Final Words
I would give this app a shining review if it wasn’t for the file size limit, but I would like to point out that this limit is actually a general rule of thumb used by many email providers in line with the Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions or MIME standard. It is through no fault of the developer’s.
Overall, Song Express is an awesome idea for an app and I think a lot of people will be able to get a lot out of it, so take it for a spin and see if it works with the tracks in your music library.
