WiFi Finder with Business Reviews app review: locate nearby businesses

Introduction

The WiFi Finder with Business Reviews app is a quick and easy way to locate businesses near you that offer WiFi as well as a whole lot of other useful information about them. It’s not just WiFi it’s also located businesses in general making it ideal if you’re traveling or even in your own home town/city.

All The Local Information

When you launch the app all the work of finding the businesses is done for you. The app uses your location and instantly displays a list of nearby places. My information pops up quickly; however, the distance it shows from my current location to the listed businesses isn’t correct. It doesn’t seem to be accurately pinpointing my location. It isn’t off by much, but it is off.

To access additional information simply scroll through the list of businesses and click on the ones that interest you. You are re-directed to the business’s link which shows its star rating, phone number, address, and you can actually read the reviews and tips from other customers. If the address isn’t enough to give you an idea of where the business it located, just tap on Get Directions for a map.

I really like the access to reviews and tips from other patrons. Not only was I able to read about the business but there are also photos for some of them. For instance if it is a restaurant you can view photos of the food, which is really helpful. This section also shows the hours, the website (if applicable), and its price range (if applicable).

 

Additional Tools

For any businesses you come across that you want to remember for future use you can mark them as favorites and view that list any time. Additionally, the picture icons beside each business are great because you can quickly determine what kind of listing it is: a WiFi location, lodging, restaurant, or coffee shop.

The user interface is well-designed and is very user-friendly. There is no need for instructions, it’s simple to use right from the start. As mentioned I am not exactly sure why it’s not accurately finding my location but this could just be fluke. And besides, it wasn’t far off, which meant the listings I was browsing were very close to me.

Final Thoughts

I really like how useful this app is. It’s great when you’re out and about looking for a nearby place to grab a coffee, find a WiFi hotspot, or you just need directions to a business location. I can see this coming in handy when I’m traveling and need to find locations close by.
