The Night Stand for iPhone Free app is all about multi-tasking so that you can get the information you need quickly and easily without having to check through multiple apps. Whether you’re a busy parent rushing from here to there, or you’re a college student who doesn’t want to miss a class, this app can help you out.

Your New Nightstand Companion

Not all the apps I review are ones I end up keeping and actually using; in fact, few end up staying on my mobile device. However, this app passes the test big-time and has now become my designated nightstand companion. There are so many features I really enjoy and find helpful it may be hard to highlight them all.

I think the most noteworthy feature is the fact that it is a one-stop-shop. Use this app as your alarm clock, the place to find your weather details, and even access current news stories. There is no need to switch from one app to another because here you get it all in one location.

Launch the app, allow it to find your location, and you are literally able to start using it. There is nothing confusing about it. It should be noted that if you’d rather key in your location you can do so.

On the main-screen you will find the current time and the current weather complete with a picture icon to display the conditions. If you have an alarm set it will show up just below the time display. Tap on the screen and a number of tabs appear on the bottom which is where you can view what’s happening on Twitter, Facebook, in the news, and a long-range weather forecast (10 days).

 

Customizing the App

There are plenty of ways to customize this app even though it’s a free version. You can pick your wallpaper, choose the sound you want to use for your alarm (you can use your own music if you want), set the snooze timer, and so many other features. If you don't want to use the images the app comes with for the wallpaper slideshow you can use your own from your Photo Album.

If you decide you want to purchase the full version you’ll get additional tools and functions and of course it will remove the ads.

• There is an ad banner across the bottom which cuts off a bit of the screen and information

 

Final Thoughts

As you can probably tell I am a big fan of the Night Stand for iPhone Free app and I will not only be keeping this one but using it on a regular basis.
