This sleep cycle tracker offers an incredible range of features that will help you to monitor your sleep in order to improve the quality of your rest over time, as well as being able to wake up gently and gradually with the smart alarm clock.
Over the years I’ve managed to improve my overall health to the point that I sleep like a baby pretty much every night. I’ve been fascinated by the smart alarm function on this app though, because you can set multiple alarms that will find the best time to wake you up within 30 minutes of the time your first alarm is set for.
This is a very clever way of making sure you wake up in line with your sleep cycles so that you feel refreshed instead of groggy from sleep inertia.

As I mentioned in the introduction, the smart alarm will determine the best point at which to wake you up within a 30 minute window before your first alarm. The example provided within SleepBot is that if your earliest alarm is 8:11am, the smart alarm will wake you up between 7:41 and 8:11am.
My understanding of this is that a full REM sleep cycle takes roughly 90 minutes for the average person. Waking up at the end of one of these cycles helps with correct hormonal and neuro-chemical function, ensuring that you wake up feeling great.
So it could be argued that you’ll feel more refreshed after six hours of sleep than, say, seven!
Rise and Shine
The smart alarm works in conjunction with the sleep tracker features which monitor your movement and even the sounds you make while you sleep.
The sleep tracker plots all of the results on graphs which you can zoom into and select specific sections of to actually play back the audio. This is amazing because you can hear yourself snoring or muttering in your sleep, although personally I find it a little creepy to listen to myself like that!
By creating a SleepBot account, you can log in to the SleepBot website and see all of your recorded entries from your computer as well as your iPhone, so you can keep on top of your sleep even while you travel.
