Simple but Efficient Design

The Smart Traveler app is extremely basic in design. This actually helps the app, as it’s small in size (just over 5 MB) and loads all information really quickly.

For every country there is an in-depth “know before you go” page, informing you about everything you need to know, such as alerts and warning, crime and safety, health and medical facilities, and even a detailed map of the country with the largest cities shown.

The United States Department of States has done a great job on collecting all the information available and making it accessible to anyone who wants it. The information in the app is relevant, though some of the warnings are a little bit overdone.

It’s obviously like that to cover the U.S. Department of States in case anything goes wrong with a United States citizen. If you just use your common sense, none of the countries with warnings out are particularly dangerous to travel.
