Sex Life app review: more than 100 positions to spice up your sex life
Introduction
If you’re looking to add a little spice and excitement to your love life then the Sex Life app is just the thing you need for fresh ideas and tips. It should be noted that this is not a typical Kamasutra-style app; this is a different approach with a number of new positions.

Setting the Mood
I find it funny that the moment you launch the app it is already trying to get you into the mindset and mood with the funky music that is playing in the background. The menu itself is very unassuming, giving you just a few options to choose from in order to navigate the more-than-100 positions highlighted in this app.
Best iphone and ipad appsTap on categories to see a small picture of the different positions as well as its name. Once you find a position you like tap on it and you’ll see a brief description of the position as well as two other positions that are similar. You can then tap on the one you like and then you can mark it as a favorite, or tried.
The positions that are similar that are recommended to you also contain a whole bunch more suggestions that you can’t see because they are locked. If you purchase the full version of the app you’ll be able to see all the positions. The full app is $0.99, which seems like a pretty reasonable price.
Heading Back to the Menu
Heading back to the main menu you can view any positions you’ve marked as favorites, those you have marked as tried, and even view your “score.” This is basically a log of all the positions you’ve tried so you know how many you have left to explore in the app.
If you tap on the “All” option there is a list of all the free positions available. All the locked ones show up as a shaded area with a lock, which gives you an idea of how many you are not able to view.
As an added thought the developer even put in a game of memory. You can play the beginner, intermediate, or advanced version of the game. The cards that you flip over have pictures of the positions on them. Your score is the time it takes you to match all the cards/positions.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Very easy to use
- A wide variety of positions even in the free version
- Mark positions as favorites
- Mark positions as tried
- There is a description of each position
- There are recommendations made of similar positions
Cons
- Not all the positions are offered in the free version
- The descriptions are very brief for each of the positions the diagram is more helpful than the text
Final Thoughts
The Sex Life app is fairly basic in its design and approach, maybe a little too basic as far as I’m concerned. The descriptions of each of position are one sentence each so it may be hard to understand them all.
