'Ice Rage' Is Nothing To Rave About Unless A Friend Is Around

Minigore. There are nine other characters including some festive mascots like Santa Claus and Rudolph. There is plenty of variety on characters, yet I felt the game lacked some important factors. The gameplay has limited involvement. It boils down to a back and forth between you and your opponent as you attempt to win the only way you can in hockey: hitting hard and making goals. There are two ways to do this: your control stick and the 'A' button. You control your player with your left hand while your right hand is hovering over that single button you need. Attacking your opponent and launching the puck will be your only two objectives, as the goalie is automatically attempting to protect your side.

The presentation is nice but it is just a shame it requires a lot of power for such a simple game. While the box-headed mad men are funny and cool looking, this game could have been 2D. It definitely would play better on older devices, which experience crashes. The sound is good, but nothing memorable. The presentation is overall a success yet seems overly flashy at times.

The controls are tight and I had no real problem on the iPad. This is a game that plays the best on a larger screen to avoid missing anything and to utilize the best feature: multiplayer. Multiplayer is the redeeming quality, again as long as you are on an iPad. You can use it as a single device to play just like a fussball table. Online play is nonexistent, but would help a lot as single player is nothing to rave about. If you have a friend around, the game is worth playing. Otherwise, you may wanna sit out this match.
