No Time to Slave Away

I can’t tell you how many recipe apps I’ve looked at trying to find recipes that will impress my family and friends. I love the impression this app makes right from the moment you launch.

You will need to sign in using Google or Facebook if you want to be able to use all the features, but this is just a minor inconvenience. Once in the app the world of recipes is all yours to enjoy.

I must warn you this app can be a bit dangerous because before you know it you’ll be completely immersed in the beautiful pictures and incredible-sounding recipes. I wish I could take a dozen screenshots to capture just a fraction of what this app has to offer.

Search by a particular food item, dish, or recipe and the app will instantly provide you with results. Scroll through the recipes (all of which include pictures) and tap on the one you want to learn more about.

Now we have reached another great feature about this app. When you tap on a specific recipe you’ll be shown a number that represents that total number of ingredients in the recipe, the calories per serving, and how many minutes it will take you to prepare the recipe from start to finish.

These few details alone may answer whether or not you want to make it. You can tap on any of those tabs for additional information.

Recipes you enjoy can be shared by email or text message, and you can mark ones as YUM which in fact tells the app about your taste preferences so it will learn what you like.

The Features Continue

The integrated smart shopping list needs to be noted as well. While in a recipe all you need to do is tap on the shopping list button and it will automatically add the ingredients to the shopping list for you. Just like that it’s all done!

Final Thoughts

I am an absolute sucker for the Yummly app. There isn’t a thing about it that I don’t enjoy or love. I’m very glad I have come across this one as I plan to keep it for future use and enjoy plenty of fabulous-looking (and tasting) dishes thanks to it.
