Apps like this always get my attention so when I opened this app to find out that the free version gives you next to nothing I was rather disappointed. The only tips you can access in this version are the fashion tips. The full version with all the tips and the removal of ads will cost you $1.99 so in the meantime the fashion tips act as a preview.

So this review will be based completely on the fashion tips and if this is any indication of what the full version offers then I have to say you’re better to save your money!

I have scrolled through a number of the fashion tips and really don’t find them that helpful at all. Not only is the information really not that helpful, but it’s basic information you could literally get anywhere. Not all the tips apply to each person so many of them you’ll just find you are flipping through rather quickly.

The only feature you are given is the ability to share tips by email, Facebook, Twitter, or SMS.

I find it pretty funny that an app that is dedicated with providing you with tips to help you look and feel great has such a disappointing user interface. There is absolutely nothing entertaining or engaging about the design of this app; it is completely dull.

As I scroll through the fashion tips that have no pictures at all, I realize that’s what it’s missing out on. If you’re giving me fashion tips why not include a picture to help describe what it is you’re talking about? The only pop of color and interest on the screen is the ad banner along the bottom of the screen. I hardly think that is the intention of the developer.

I would hope that if you buy the full version you at least get some descriptive photos for the hair, makeup, skin, and lip tips. I would also hope the tips are more helpful and universal. In addition, the typos are pretty amusing but definitely will bother the grammar sticklers out there. See the below screenshot for an example.

• Lots of typos/errors

 

Final Words

The Beauty Tips for Great Fashion, Hair, Makeup, Skin, and Lips app seems like one that would be filled with fabulous tips and ideas however there is very little free content and what content you can access is not very helpful.
