Infuse app review: watch videos in almost any video format with a stunning interface and much more

Reviews

Introduction

Infuse is an incredibly powerful video player app which enables you to watch your videos in a wide variety of file formats, as well as being able to organize your collections, scrobble plays via trakt.tv, and enjoy jaw-dropping 1080p playback in the palm of your hand.

The best YouTube apps for iPhone and iPad-2021

I am well and truly gobsmacked by the quality of this app, not to mention how easy-to-use and self-explanatory the interface is.

As I type this, I’m uploading a few classic episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation (geek alert!) wirelessly via the web browser on my laptop, and the whole experience has been so smooth and intuitive that I really think anyone could jump straight into using Infuse without any prior experience.

Ignite Your Video Library

As soon as you start up this app for the first time, the quality of the development just oozes from the interface. You’ll probably want to begin by adding some videos, and this can be achieved with a few different methods.

Best iphone and ipad apps

The method I’ve been using is via Browser which requires that your iPhone be connected to the same WiFi network as your computer. From here, you can access your Infuse library on your computer by using the URLs provided, and this is makes it incredibly easy to upload videos directly via your web browser.

Other file adding methods include via FTP, via iTunes Sync, via File Sharing, and you can also import files via cloud services such as Dropbox by using the Open In… feature.

Just The Ticket

Once you’ve imported a video or twelve, you’ll notice that the metadata is also added to the entry for each video, including information such as the genre, cast, writer, and a synopsis of the movie or episode. This metadata can be amended if you see any errors and you can also share videos from this screen via Facebook, Twitter, and trakt.

Once you tap the Play button, your video will begin streaming and I can tell you now that you definitely will not be disappointed with the playback quality, and I mean that in terms of both the picture and audio quality.

From the in-app video player, you can access further options such as adjusting brightness, zooming, selecting chapters and audio tracks, and even downloading subtitle tracks in a multitude of languages.

Final Words

I have to admit, although I frequently recommend apps based on their own merit, it’s actually relatively rare for me to fall in love with an app straight away and actually want to use it on a regular basis.

I wanted to mention this because this is exactly what has happened upon downloading Infuse!

All I can really say about Infuse is that it is absolutely fantastic, and is almost certainly the best video player I’ve ever used, so do yourself a humongous favor and check it out!
