Just as the title suggests this app is a database, not a place to actually print the coupons. What it does is give you a list of all the current coupons and where they can be found so you can then find the flyer and print/clip the coupon out. Coupons are collected from Red Plum, Smart Source, P&G, and others.

This app is updated on a daily basis so it's one you'll want to check often if you don't want to miss out on a deal. The point of the app is to save you time and hassle from having to comb through all the flyers. Instead it’s one location that lists all the savings.

When you launch the app it automatically takes you to the database where you can scroll through all the coupons or search for a particular item/brand. There are four headings for each item: item name, value of the coupon, when it expires, and what date it appeared in the insert. You can sort the items by the heading in ascending or descending order.

 

Basic but Effective

My first impression of this app is that it’s very basic but with that said it’s effective and gets the job done. The user interface is minimalist yet somehow the screen still looks busy and cluttered. It doesn’t help that there is a scrolling ad banner across the top. I think it’s important not to get caught up in the unimpressive user interface of this app because if you can look past it the app really will save you time and hassle.

I like that there is such a wide variety of products found here and the savings range from just a few cents to a number of dollars. This means if you’re using this app on a regular basis you could start to see the savings add up pretty quickly. It’s helpful to have the search tool because going through the full database of coupons could definitely take a lot of time.

Final Thoughts

The Coupon Database app definitely serves a purpose and could save you time and money when used on a regular basis. I wish it had more features, perhaps a more polished user interface, and even the ability to link with the coupons themselves. This is just a database, no more and no less, and in that sense it is effective.
