If you enjoy creating collages from your photos to share with your friends but don’t want to spend the time arranging pictures, CollageIt Free is a great app which contains a selection of preset templates so that you can produce fantastic results literally within a matter of seconds.

I usually lack the patience to sit and make photo collages but with this app you don’t really have to do any of the work.

All you have to do is select which pictures you want to use and then choose from one of the templates, the developer couldn’t have made it any easier if they tried!

When you first start using this app you’ll want to begin by tapping the Create New button. From here, you can begin importing photos from your Facebook account or your Camera Roll.

After you’ve selected which photos you want to use, you’ll be presented with a selection of templates with feature a great variety of stylized designs. I actually think that the templates look more or less good to go as they are, but you can edit your collage further once you’ve selected which one you want to use.

The Edit screen features a larger view of your collage and you can move your images around by dragging them, and you can also resize them by pinching in the usual iOS fashion. I love the way you can tap the Shuffle button to move your photos around or shake your iPhone to produce the same result.

Beyond this, you’ll also find buttons at the bottom of the screen enabling you to insert text, add effects and filters, and alter the background color.

Once you’re happy with your collage creation you can tap the button in the top-right hand corner of the screen to proceed onto the Share section. From here, you can choose the export size of the collage, attach a message, and then share it with your friends online via Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Tumblr, or email.

Furthermore, you can also use the Open In… feature to export your collage to other apps for further editing or sharing options if you so choose.

Collage creation apps have really been overdone in my opinion, but the developer has definitely brought something fresh to the table with this one so I would definitely recommend checking it out.
