I love the old fashioned Gray’s Anatomy design of the interface in this app and it’s very humbling to realize how little I actually know about the human body!

You can choose to either practice on the entire body or home in on specific body parts and bone structures to refine your knowledge. Whatever you do, I think Speed Bones Lite (Quiz) is a great way of boosting your knowledge so be sure to check it out!

When you first see the main menu of this app you’ll notice that you can choose between Review and Practice modes. My understanding of this is that the scores from your practice runs won’t be logged in the High Scores section.

On a side note, you can use the arrows on the right-hand side of the screen to select among English, Spanish, German, and Italian languages. The arrows above the languages enable you to select which part of the body you’d like to focus on. I would suggest starting with Overviews one and two.

You’re playing against the clock and you earn time bonus points for identifying bones quickly, but be careful not to rush your answers because you can also earn bonus points for precision. This is very cool because you can tap and hold on the anatomy chart to magnify it and really pinpoint the bone you’re looking for.

I think being able to focus on different structures within the body is fantastic, and the graphical elements are all very nicely designed with a Gray’s Anatomy-type of feel to them. There are also some old-fashioned violins or fiddles which play at the end of each level and I think this lends itself nicely to the overarching theme as well.

All in all, Speed Bones Lite (Quiz) is a great app which I think has been designed with a great deal of expertise and a lot of attention to detail.
