"Awesome" writes a reviewer!
Another reviewer writes "I have used it for all of my exams so far and it is extraordinarily helpful."
With almost 3 hours of video animations, Tap OChem puts organic reactions and concepts at your fingertips!
Visualize organic chemistry to quickly understand over 100 of the most important concepts and reactions! Critical in prepping for MCAT, PCAT, GRE, OAT, DCAT.
Second reviewer writes “Covers all of the major topics and the videos help me visualize the details of the molecules and reactions”…“Could almost replace a whole textbook.”
With content added in each update (4 updates last year and one major one this year!), Tap OChem is the app that delivers!
The reactions and concepts included are some of the most common from the one year sequence of undergraduate organic chemistry that is offered at all major colleges and universities. Whether you are currently in the one year sequence of classes or reviewing for the MCAT, PCAT, OAT, or DCAT, this app can aid your learning.
Designed by two award winning chemists with over 40 years of combined experience teaching at major universities, Tap OChem makes organic chemistry reaction come to life for each included reaction or concept. The following animations are currently included: Substitution reactions (12 animations), Elimination reactions (11 animations), Alkene Chemistry (10 animations), Alkyne Chemistry (6 animations), Epoxide chemistry (4 animations), Benzene reactions (8 animations), Butadiene Chemistry (4 animations), Carbonyl Chemistry (7 animations), Key concepts (32 animations), and Molecules in Motion (30 animations). The Concepts section includes hybridization theory and conformational analysis of alkanes and cyclohexane. More animations will be included in future free updates!
Each animation has an accompanying text that drills down to the main facts of each reaction or concept. These are now FULL COLOR! They are short, handy, descriptions with important information regarding each reaction or concept. In the case of reaction animations, the concise scrollable text descriptions include electron pushing.
Tap OChem is now native to both iPhones and iPads! In addition to the animations being very sharp on your iPhone, they are of excellent quality when projected (iPhone 4S and iPhone 5, 6, 6plus and later, iPad 2 and later with appropriate adapters) in a classroom.
For the iPhone 5 and iPad Air 1 and 2 and later, a Lightning Digital AV Adapter (this an HDMI adapter), or a Lightning to VGA Adapter is required to connect to a digital projector with HDMI and/or VGA inputs.
For the iPhone 4S, the Apple 30-pin Digital AV adapter (for HDMI) or the Apple 30-pin to VGA Adapter is required to connect to a digital projector with HDMI and/or VGA inputs.
