Wiper, the messaging and calling app with a focus on privacy, has just released their latest update - Wiper Film. The subscription service will allow users access to hundreds of independent films available for watching instantly, or later through download. With the Wiper Film releases, subscribers ($4.99 per month) can view the films worldwide on iOS, Android, and the newly released Apple TV app.
Wiper is a free iOS and Android app. It's (e-to-e) encrypted messaging between two people - text, videos and pictures - plus encrypted full HD voice calling. The best part? At any time, either party can tap a button to totally wipe the conversation from your phone, your friends, and Wiper’s servers instantly.
Also Wiper lets you watch YouTube videos, listen to a vast song library, and take advantage of an built-in Bitcoin wallet.
Wiper Film - it's a $4.99 a month subscription giving you access to hundreds of independent films, along with an Apple TV app so you can watch on your living room TV. It's the same strategy you see with Snapchat - everything (video, music and chat) in one private place, wipeable. For non-subscribers, Wiper users can watch 20% of any film for free, in an effort to bring in new, curious subscribers. The service is focused on getting away from big Hollywood and focusing on independent, smaller filmmakers and creators. Filmmakers get paid with bitcoins through the Wiper bitcoin wallet, keeping perfectly with the theme of privacy.
