jog.fm app review: listen to workout music to suit your running pace 2021

Reviews

Introduction

This is a very clever little music for workouts app for all of you fitness enthusiasts. This jog fm app detects how fast you are running in order to automatically play songs from your Music Library which best suit your pace so that you can work out in the most optimum way possible and feel more motivated than ever before.

Keep Your Motor Runnin'

One thing I really like about jog.fm is the way that using the automatic pace detection gives you a slightly different workout experience each time.

So as the developer notes in the iTunes description page: “One day Foreigner might push you the extra step. The next day, Lil Wayne may take over. Get a unique, up-beat playlist every time you run.”

I find that adding variety to exercise programs is perfect for keeping things interesting, and this is very important for adherence to a program. For this reason, I’m a massive fan of any Health & Fitness app which helps in this manner.

Far from being fully automated, this app also lets you blacklist certain songs so that they will never play while you’re exercising. You can also use the speed buttons to adjust tempos up and down to better suit your pace and style of exercise.

Keep Up the Pace

Being able to adjust the speed manually is great because not all of us perform exactly the same workouts or exactly the same forms of exercise every time, so it’s great to have this flexibility based on whether you’re running, walking, or simply performing a few stomach crunches or push-ups.

The best iPhone apps for listening to music

The only minor complaint I have with jog.fm - Workout music at your running pace is that it doesn’t run in the background or support multi-tasking. This means that you’ll have to keep the screen activated while you’re exercising to prevent the music from stopping.

Other than that, this is a great app which might just provide that little additional boost you need to really kickstart your exercise regime and start improving your health and fitness in a more sustainable, long-term way that you can get excited about.
