Bill Nye The Science Guy app review: making science fun
Introduction
Who said that science has to be boring? Thanks to the Bill Nye The Science Guy app, learning about science is engaging, fun, and entertaining. This app is designed specifically for kids so they can start to understand how science affects us and how it plays a role in so many things. Kids can learn through videos, games, and activities, all of which offer a fun twist on science.

Educational Fun
Bill Nye The Science Guy is actually celebrating his 20th anniversary this year and in order to celebrate this app was designed and released not long ago. Launching the app is a science experiment in itself as you will need to gain entry by doing a finger scan, which is incredibly fun and cute for kids. From here you enter the vaults and end up in front of Bill Nye’s desk.

The desk acts as the apps main menu, which is a fun twist on your typical menu setup. Kids can tap on any of the objects to see where it takes them. The graphics are lots of fun and are very cute, helping to keep kids engaged and focused.
Because the activities and games are all designed for kids you will find the instructions simple to understand so kids can follow along even without mom and dad’s help.
Cute but Sparse
The one main problem with this app is that there aren’t a ton of games to play. The games offered are all very cute and lots of fun so users just naturally want more. If kids don't succeed in finishing or clearing a game they are encouraged to try again so there is no sense of pressure to complete the games each and every time.
The best iPad apps for science lovers
Bill Nye has such a recognizable voice and its one that really resonates with kids. There are plenty of times he is explaining a particular concept or object and thanks to his animated voice kids truly pay attention and absorb what he's saying.
As for the user interface it's smooth and all menus and games load very quickly. I find the games and activities to be very intuitive and because they use touch control kids are able to play without any problems. The app is rated for kids ages four and older, but I think four years old may be a bit too young to play this one. It depends how interested in science your child is.
