Introduction
Have you ever wondered what your cat is saying, or what those little flicks of its tail mean?
The best iPad apps for journalists
Well the Cat Sounds & Tail Talk iPhone cats app will provide you with all the information you need to figure out how he, or she, is trying to communicate.
Unfortunately this cats app doesn't cover why they sleep 22.5 hours of the day. Keep reading our Cat Sounds & Tail Talk app review to learn more about the features and functions of this top cats app for iPhone and iPad.
Cat is Man's Aloof Roommate
Cat Sounds & Tail Talk covers all the basics in feline communication. From the opening page the app has four photos that cover the basic calls you will likely hear from your cat at some point. By tapping the Angry, Fearful, Happy, or Wants Attention picture the audio of the corresponding call will play.
The best iPhone and iPad apps for pet owners
I'll give you a bit of a warning: when I was testing this app my cat was constantly searching every window and door in the house searching for that other crazy cat that couldn't decide what mood he was in.
The audio is fairly good, well good enough to fool my cat, however there is a slight hiss in the playback but it does provide you with a good idea of how each call sounds.
By navigating the menu at the bottom of the screen you can also view the Tail Talk portion of the app which provides you with a scrollable list of what a cat's tail position and movement signifies. If the cat's tail is straight up and quivering a bit, for example, that means he's greeting you and giving you affection.
You Will Never Own a Tiger but Let's Include That Anyway
The third option in Cat Sounds & Tail Talk's menu is Big Cat Roars. This has audio for six big cats for you to listen to. The ones included are bobcat, cougar, leopard, lion, snow leopard, and tiger.

The audio for these are obviously professionally recorded as they are flawless, although not very practical unless of course you are Mike Tyson and already own two tigers. But these sounds are fun to have and play, just to watch your cat's reaction.
Pros and Cons

Final Thoughts
If you are a cat owner you may want to consider getting the Cat Sounds & Tail Talk app, specifically if you're having trouble understanding why he or she does certain things, or meows a certain way.
However if you are a life long cat owner, as I am, a lot of this you've already figured out just by having them around. Now if they can only make an app to explain why he hates water but constantly wants to sit in the shower when it's not on.
