A Bit of a Letdown

The description of this app caught my attention so I figured it would be a cute one to try. The user interface here is incredibly sad and dull so looking past that is a bit of a challenge. The main menu gives you a list of the categories to browse.

I'm not a fan of how the quotes are each displayed; they just appear on a solid dark background with no visual interest whatsoever. You can share them by tapping on the "share" icon. You will find a limited amount of quotes here as well, as in order to unlock the hundreds available you need to update to the Pro version. This is priced at $1.99, which to me doesn't seem worth it. There are other apps out there that give you just as many quotes as this, more in fact, in a much more visually attractive way.

Even scrolling through the quotes feels archaic and slow as you need to press the arrow button to advance the quotes rather than just swiping the screen to “turn the page.”
