You never know when you’re going to have to consult the medical manual, whether it’s a strange rash or something more worrying when you’re out of reach of a professional doctor so having an app to help your read and treat (to a certain extent) medical symptoms could be life saving.
Best Medical Apps for iPhoneWebMD Price: Free Current Version Ratings: 4/5 from 1222 WebMD as you probably know is one of the most comprehensive medical websites out there designed to help you first gain an understanding of what the illness might be or how best to treat an injury and from there you may go on to consult a physician or doctor etc. This WebMD iPhone app is basically their website full of 10k+ pages all packed up into this app. It is not designed to diagnose or treat a medical condition, however, if you are traveling abroad in a foreign country and are miles away from anywhere then this free medical manual is a must have. If you are on any medication it also has features which you can use to customize your dietary plan and reminds you of when to stock up. Main features include – symptom checker, conditions, drugs and treatments, first aid information, local health listings and saved data.

The interface is clean and well laid out. You have various categories to choose from which include – drugs, interaction check, pill ID, notifications, app directory, resource centers, essential points, tables and calculators – oh, and a search function.
Best Medical Apps for iPhoneiMuscle Price: $4.99 Current Version rating: 4/5 from 88 iMuscle is another well respected health app with some stunning human anatomy visuals especially for the iPAd. It’s basically a sophisticated workout aid, which includes your own workout which you monitor and share and measure all your stats like weight, blood pressure, heart rate etc. You are also provided more than 450 HD 3D animated exercises and stretches for you to follow. If you don’t really have a clue as to what the correct muscle groups to work are when it comes to achieving a certain physique, forget paying a PT, this app on your iPad down the gym or at home explains it clearly for you. If you’re a teacher also or a PT, then you could use this app with a projector and go through methodically each workout session. For $4.99 user reviews have no complaints.
