With life being so busy all the time and there always seeming to be outside noise and stress it's sometimes very hard to find inner peace and get control over your emotions and feelings. This is why many people use a meditation app to help them center their mind and body and find that inner peace.
The Guided Mind app for meditation helps you with getting control over your emotions and feelings using meditations, guides, and nature imagery. After using this app for relaxation you’ll feel like a whole new person. Continue reading our review on this app for inner peace and see if it's the right fit for you.
The idea of meditation is one that appeals to a lot of people but knowing how to meditate so you can benefit from it is a process that must be learned. This is where this app can help you out. It helps you focus your mind through beautiful nature imagery and meditations.
The basis behind this app is that by focusing and clearing your mind you will be more open to achieve, grow, learn, and heal. In general these are things we all strive to do in life.
This app offers a number of different meditations however the majority of them require an in-app purchase. These meditations range from $0.99 to $1.99. When you look at what they can help you achieve this seems like a relatively small price to pay.
Using the App
When launching the app the first time it is rather slow to load, it seems to be better after that initial launch. It gives you a brief introductions of what the features are and where they are located, saving you time and hassle from having to figure it out on your own.
You are given two meditations for free – River of Relaxation and Your Peaceful Interlude, all the rest will need to be purchased.
There are a few customization features such as being able to change the color of the background, however when I did this I wasn’t able to get back to the main menu and had to actually leave the app and come back into it.
Tap on one of the free meditations to read about what it is, what it is meant to achieve, and an inspirational quote. You will also see the length of time of the actual meditation. Tap on the play button when you are ready to begin, sit back and relax, and allow your mind to relax.
There are nature sounds and soft music playing in the background but there is something about the narrator’s voice that seems a bit jarring.
Easily browse through the meditations in the main menu to select one
Meditations include narration with background sounds
The ability to pause the meditations
Only two meditations are included in the free version and they are very short
The narrator’s voice was jarring and not very soothing
The Guided Mind app provides you with a couple of meditations you can do at home or any place that will help you relax, focus your mind, and just feel more balanced. I think the offerings are pretty thin here and there aren’t really any features that feel fresh or unique.
