Have you ever noticed how relaxing it is to watch snowflakes fall? They are so quiet and peaceful and create a clean and beautiful slate wherever they lie. Well now you don't have to wait for a snowy day to enjoy this feeling thanks to the Snowflake Zen app, which can be used on your iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone. With this app it can be the middle of summer and you can still enjoy the peaceful beauty of a snowflake. You get to create your very own snowflakes thanks to this app.
Are you feeling a little stressed? Do you need a quiet and relaxing way to unwind? This is the app to help you out. It's not one of those typical relaxation and meditation type apps; instead, it is classified as a game yet there is a health benefit to this one. You will be making your very own unique and beautiful snowflakes by making adjustments in the temperatures and humidity levels. As an added relaxation benefit the app plays music during your creation process.
Once you have made your adjustments hit the snowflake button and your creation will appear. You can add it to your photos if you want to save it. Hit the back button to create another one.
The User Experience
Sometimes an app is so simple that it becomes hard and I think that is the case with this app. It would be nice if there were instructions to explain what your adjustments to do the snowflakes. Not only that, but it would be nice to have instructions in general of how and what to do with the app. The music that plays in the background is also incredibly quiet and really doesn’t add to the experience at all.
I wish there were a way to watch the snowflakes fall once you have made them. It just seems pointless when you make these individual ones that you look at for a few seconds and then do what with them? As a game there is no challenge that you are working to complete and as a relaxation app it just doesn’t cut it as there isn’t enough substance to give that sense of relaxation. It seems as though I’m not the only one feeling this way as this app seems to leave many users confused as to the point of it and how to use it. I think the concept is cool it just needs more.
