Accounts - Checkbook app review: the successor to the top-selling Accounts app for iPhone and iPad

Reviews

Introduction

This is a highly effective and efficient money management app for iPhone and iPad that you can easily use in place of your physical checkbook to keep a concise ongoing record of all of your financial transactions in one convenient interface.

The best budgeting apps for iPhone and iPad

This is definitely one of the better low-end financial tracker apps that I’ve come across in recent months, and I really like the way in which the developer has managed to offer a high level of functionality without any unnecessary frills or clutter.

If you’re looking for a way of keeping track of your ins and outs then you’re definitely going to want to check out this app.

Easily Replace Your Physical Checkbook

Accounts - Checkbook has been designed to act as a one-stop resource to replace your physical checkbook so that you can keep track of your financial transactions across your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

The tracking aspects of this app are all fairly straightforward, and aren’t too far removed from what you could expect to find in similar developments. You can add any number of payees, and categorize your transactions based on household, work-related, vehicle fuel, and other types of expenses.

I’m also very impressed with the report generating features of this app as they enable you to project your income and expenses against one another on detailed graphs that provide a graphical representation of exactly where you are financially within your chosen timeframe.

Keep Your Records Passcode-Protected

All of the graphs and reports you create can also very easily be exported via email as .CSV and .QIF file formats, making it no problem at all when you want to share your records with your spouse to keep them in the loop.

If, on the other hand, you’d rather keep your financial logs secure, then you’ll be pleased to know that this app supports passcode protection, so you can easily keep your records safely away from prying eyes.

Final Words

Accounts - Checkbook is a fairly regular addition to the genre of financial tracker apps for iPhone and iPad, but it does do the job very nicely, and in a no-nonsense fashion.
