Wordistic app review: create and learn words all in one

Reviews

Introduction

No matter how many words you think you may know and how vast your vocabulary is, we've got an app that will make you second-guess yourself. The Wordistic app can be played on your iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone and will have you putting together words in record time. There is no time for brain freeze here as you’ll need to be quick on your toes in order to score big. All of this is topped off by an original soundtrack that adds even more to the atmosphere.

Expand Your Vocabulary

It's time to expand and exercise your vocabulary in this fun-filled word game. It's fast-paced, action-packed, and full of challenge. Some of the cool features here include online word definitions, word suggestions, and word predictions. You're going to race against the clock so there's no taking time to let your mind wander. Launch this game to open the door to a word game like no other. Even the graphics are pretty engaging and fun so you’ll be captured immediately.

The app currently doesn’t have any customer ratings or comments, which is surprising because this one is certainly a fun find.

A Little Lost

When you launch the app you’ll be able to start your game playing. My complaint here is that the main menu is really busy and it isn’t even really clear that it is in fact the main menu you’re looking at. It would be great if there were some instructions, or maybe less happening on the screen when you first launch; just a more simple approach. Once you make it into the actual game you will be touching letters to form a word. Your letters start to appear on the bottom of the screen so you can see what you’re missing to form that word. All the while, the original soundtrack music is playing, which by the way you can pause, fast forward, and rewind.

Where the challenge lies is that you are trying to form a word before you run out of time. The problem is you don’t know when the letters will drop that you need for the word you have in mind, so basically you need to be flexible and kind of roll with things. If you can suddenly form a different word, go for it so the clock doesn’t run out. I find I am constantly trying to find this balance between making a great word and not running out of time.
