CyberChase Shape Quest app review: cool games, puzzles and 3D augmented reality 2021

Reviews

Introduction

If you are looking for an iPad math games app that facilitates the development of your child's problem-solving skills, then CyberChase Shape Quest is a great option.

Designed for children from the ages of 6 to 9, this iPhone math games app uses geometry and spatial reasoning in a fun and entertaining way to help your child grasp not just math-based problems at school, but also in day-to-day life.

This app is based around the PBS Kids series CyberChase, which is an award-winning show that aims to demonstrate to children that math is everywhere and that they can be good at it. It features CyberChase characters, Buzz and Delete, who have returned to Botopolis for a new adventure.

Through the games in this app, your child will learn skills such as geometric modeling, spatial reasoning, shape vocabulary, and visualization.

Let's have a look at the different games and features included in this top iPhone math games app through our CyberChase Shape Quest app review.

Augmented Reality (AR) Technology

CyberChase Space Quest consists of three games. The featured game is called Patch The Path. The mission, should you choose to accept it, is to help your animal friends find the way back to their homes.

This game uses your iOS device's camera to simulate 3D digital content onto the real world; a pretty awesome and unique feature in an educational app.

There are 30 levels to pass and they will all be comprised of one of five unique environments that require application of spatial memory, visualization, and modeling skills to investigate, predict, and assemble or dismantle 2D and 3D objects.

The game is designed in such a way that children have to use their entire body to play rather than just sit somewhere glued to their screens. This is a huge advantage and is a much-needed step in the right direction when it comes to children's apps.

The only small downside to this game is that it's not ready to go; it requires that you print out a board game from the Shape Quest website before you play, but I don't see it as a major issue considering the payoff.

Feed The Critters And Hide & Seek

The second game in CyberChase Shape Quest is known as Feed The Critters. Flick food at the critters to feed them, but make sure you dodge the walls and obstacles so that the hungry critters get to their food!

The five unique Botopolis environments are present in this game too, as different animals inhabit different environments, giving you 25 levels all in all.

The third and final game is Hide And Seek where you seek out the cute and unique animals of this game, who have concealed themselves behind various geometrical designs. This game will enable your child to practice geometrical vocabulary, number of sides, hexagons, right angles, and more through another 25 puzzles.
