Path App Review

Reviews

Path App ReviewPath Rank: #70 on the Top 100 Free iPhone Apps List as of July 18th For: iPad, iPhone, iPod touch Path takes social networking to the next level by creating a smaller venue for people and family who find posting intimate moments in regular social networks too revealing. With a single tap you could share updates as well as check on your circle’s activity. This application is free, and according to the app programmers, has more than 3 million users. Regular social networks solely focus on expanding relationships where the line between the users’ private and public life are not observed. This could be a problem for individuals with a larger following as even simple acquaintances are informed of recent activities that no longer concern them. It also prevents close friends from interacting freely since they value their privacy and do not wish their opinions be made public. Reviews for this product are generally positive. Creating a private channel for family and close friends allows users to express themselves more freely. What Path has managed to do is create an interactive photo album where cherished moments and personal opinions can be divulged while still maintaining confidentiality. Five different emotions allow the users to express themselves more clearly. Daily updates from sharing pictures and videos to greetings and commentaries are easily accessed. This application allows cross-posting with a single tap to Facebook, Tumblr, Foursquare and Twitter. Path App Review Version 2.5 includes upgrades in camera functions and photo editor: pictures can be viewed 30% larger, recording moments are done with a single tap, share movies that you are watching, and share books that you are reading. Privacy settings are automatically tweaked at default allowing access only to those you invite. Standard or personally written Path invitations can be sent as a recorded audio message. If you are a person who values privacy and have found other social networks too open then this is exactly the right venue for you. Matt Van Horn, vice president of Path, has assured the public that this site will not include ads.
