FlightBoard app review: easily turn your device into an airport arrivals board

Reviews

Introduction

What we have here is a very useful app that you can use to turn your iPhone and iPad into an arrivals and departures board based on the board at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, providing real-time flight status updates to keep you in the loop.

This is what I would class as a middle-of-the-road addition to the category of flight tracker apps, and I say this because of both its price and the level of functionality on offer. Either way, the casual flier will definitely find it incredibly useful.

There are a few flight tracker apps available for free but it’s well worth spending a few dollars on one such as this to ensure you’re receiving the information you’re receiving is accurate and up to date, so FlightBoard definitely receives my recommendation.

FlightBoard - Live Flight Departure and Arrival Status is ideal for catching real-time information on flights from all over the world, and with this app you’ll have access to details from more than 3,000 airports and over 1,400 airlines. I guess you could say FlightBoard is pretty comprehensive!

The real question is whether or not the app is actually enjoyable to use...and yes it absolutely is!

You can very easily toggle between arrivals and departure views for your chosen airports and/or airlines, and there is a handy integrated search facility with filters that you can use to find exactly what you need.

Based On Charles de Gaulle Airport

The fact that the interface design is based on the board at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris means you can enjoy a stylish layout rather than a generic iOS-themed design.

You’ll also be glad to know that you can share the status of any flight with your friends and family online via Facebook, Twitter, and email, so this is a great alternative to ‘checking in’ at your airport and boasting about your vacations!
