Taking Control of the Situation

For many women who are diagnosed with breast cancer so much of their life feels out of their control so here’s a way to take back some of that control. You can do that by educating yourself all about breast cancer so at least as you head down the path and have discussions with medical professionals you will have a better understand of what is going on with your body and health. This is also a helpful app for those who have a loved one that is going through breast cancer right now as a way of better understanding what is going on with them.

Referring to the App

When you open this app you will notice it is essentially a glossary. It covers diagnosis, terms related to detection of breast cancer, and treatment options. The goal is to cover all the basics so no matter how it is affecting you, you’ll be able to read information that can help to educate you. I find this is a lot of information to take in at once so really it’s best to read little bits at a time as it affects you. This is a wonderful tool to have from day one so you can continue to learn.

The user interface is simple, there are no added bells and whistles here. The information is sorted alphabetically so you can scroll through the whole list or you can skip ahead to a particular letter. Tap on any term to read about it, the descriptions are usually pretty brief but are enough to give you a basic understanding. I think it would be great if you could share this information by email, SMS, or social media.
