Introduction

Age of Warriors is a new 3D strategy RPG game for iPhone and iPad set in the fantastical land of Elantra where you must build a team of heroes to do battle against the imposing evil forces to once again reclaim the land and bring peace to all.

In terms of its concept this game makes a fairly run-of-the-mill addition to the Games category of the App Store, but I absolutely love the way everything has been presented, and the storyline is certainly far more compelling than many iOS RPGs so be sure to check this one out!

You’ll need to have your wits about you when playing Age of Warriors as this is no mindless hack ‘n’ slash game so you’ll need to put a lot of thought into how you expand and develop your team of heroes.

There are six different character classes for a variety of melee, ranged, and magical abilities, with all of the usual additions to the genre such as a warrior, mage, archer, and so on, and of course your characters will grow stronger and gain new abilities as they gain experience points and level up.

Age of Warriors features a 3D auto-battle format with success dependent on your careful strategizing, so you’ll want to make sure you gradually build up a well rounded team with a strong offense and reliable defense.

I also really like the social networking aspect to this game because you can challenge your friends to battles and compete on the Leaderboard to see who can become top dog!

What’s more, this game is free to download and is supported by players purchasing gems from the in-app store. This isn’t absolutely necessary but it will obviously enhance the gameplay experience so I would recommend grabbing a few gems if you’re looking to really jump into Age of Warriors.

Final Words

Age of Warriors is a great deal of fun with a gripping plot and some gorgeous 3D graphics; I’m personally not a fan of automated battles but if you enjoy the strategy RPG genre then I think you’ll absolutely love this game.
