If you have a child who is in Kindergarten or getting ready to start school within the next year, why not help them learn the basics that are expected of them? The Flashcards - Kindergarten app for your iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone is a perfect way to teach kids a variety of core subjects. The app uses flashcards to teach such things as beginning math, the alphabet and its sounds, telling the time, patterns, simple sight words, and so much more. It’s a fun way to start working on the building blocks so they have a smooth first year in school.
Here's a way to help kids get started off on the right foot as they enter kindergarten. The Flashcards - Kindergarten app makes it possible to do some home learning on your schedule and in a fun and engaging way for kids. There are different sets of flashcards with more than 185 cards to work your way through together. Answers are given by just touching the screen and are then shown through a visual and spoken. It can act as an introduction to these basic core subjects or a way to make these concepts easier to understand as they learn them at school.
In the app's most recent update there was a small bug fix and some graphic fixes. The app doesn't yet have a customer rating or customer comments.
Taking a Closer Look
As we take a closer look at the Flashcards - Kindergarten app you'll find that it offers plenty of great sounds and visuals. The graphics are made to be kid-friendly with bright and vivid colors. You can go through the cards in order you can set it to shuffle so that it is more unpredictable and challenging. The subjects that are discussed are the concept of telling time, subtraction, addition, the sounds of the alphabet, and even common sight words. While the app is easy enough for kids to use on their own it's best if parents work with them in order to enhance the experience further.
I really enjoy that the content is so well-thought-out. While some of the flashcards may feel too simple or basic for your child, the next one may really put them to the challenge. It also acts as a great confidence builder because as your child learns he or she will begin to feel more and more confident, which of course will help in school.
