TimeKeeper app review: crude timekeeping

Reviews

Introduction

TimeKeeper is an iPad and iPhone app in the Productivity category of the App Store that offers some rather rudimentary task management features with the intention of saving you some time through your day, but in the long run it is probably going to take up more time than it will save.

I’ve seen so many timekeeping task-orientated apps that are designed to save time and keep your life more organized but so many of them are ill conceived and just end up wasting time with data entry and awkwardly designed interfaces; unfortunately, this is one such app so I would recommend steering clear.

Timesaver? Maybe Not

This is quite a crude app that has been designed to provide you with a pint-sized timekeeping interface for easy organization, providing you with basic entry fields for the data and time of your daily events and tasks.

If you want to add your own personal notes to your entries for more detailed recordkeeping then you can do this too.

Crude and Ineffective

TimeKeeper also provides some basic sharing capabilities which enable you to send your tasks and events to your friends and colleagues online via email but that’s about where the functionality comes to an end.

This app is meant to save time but given its limited scope and crude design I’d say you’re better off either using another app or just working on simplifying your own daily agenda so that you don’t find things so overwhelming!

  • Add your own custom notes to entries for further detail
  • Share your tasks and events with others online via email

Final Words

TimeKeeper is probably best avoided because of its unintuitive design, so you might want to consider looking in the Productivity, Business, or Utilities categories of the App Store for an alternative timesaving iPhone and iPad app. Or, take a look at other reputable tracking software options like Hubstaff
