How would you like to brush up on your history when it comes to the United States? You know information such as the government, the people, the land, and everything else that pertains to the country's past. The iUSA app can be used on your iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone and strives to be a complete pocket reference guide to the United States. This is literally an A to Z guide to the country and doesn't even require an Internet connection for the majority of the content.
The iUSA app acts as a complete reference guide for the United States so that you can download this one app and essentially have all the information you need. This is of course great for students studying American history, the government, and/or politics but also for anyone with an interest in it. As mentioned much of the content is available offline making it perfect to read and browse through any time. The app provides users with information regarding U.S. history with more than 100,000 words, over 1,500 government entries, more than 4,000 Wikipedia references, and more. It's also a great place to learn about the Senate, the House of Representatives, the federal services and departments, and more.
The app doesn't contain any ads and there are no in-app purchases necessary. Unfortunately it seems as though this app is in need of some updates since none of been done in over four years. While users appreciate the information it offers it appears to be plagued by bugs. The app has just 2.5 out of five stars from users.
There is no shortage of information in the iUSA app and the information is all very complete and in-depth. It's easy to see why this would be a helpful tool for students in particular. Besides the information this app also offers users a way to write to the representatives, Senators, the President and his staff. There are media and blogs that they can check out and it gives users a way to take part in public service organizations. It’s actually a really cool and informative concept for an app that unfortunately has a number of stability and performance issues. The navigation bar along the bottom of the screen is where you'll be able to move from one area to the other and you can mark items as favorites, change the font size, and more.
