OnTheFly app review: flight finder

Reviews

Introduction

OnTheFly is a very useful iPhone and iPad app in the Travel category of the App Store that has been designed as an extensive search facility to help you find reasonably priced flights for locations across the globe.

The best iPhone and iPad apps for tracking flights

Cheap flights really aren’t that difficult to come by these days, especially if you don’t mind a couple of transfers along the way; I personally like to use Skyscanner or Kayak but this app is still well worth taking a look at.

Find the Perfect Flight

Entering the already quite cluttered genre of flight search apps for iPhone and iPad is OnTheFly, which allows you to choose from a range of airports and receive automatic suggestions based on your chosen locations.

You can make things a little easier for yourself with this app by selecting multiple departure and arrival dates to find the best possible price, and it also allows you to narrow down your results by specifying your number of permitted stops, preferred flight times, and what class you would like to fly.

OnTheFly also includes a more generic search engine facility so that you can type in specific things you’re looking for, and once you find something that interests you, you can see the full airfare costs with taxes and fees included.

Before booking your flight you’ll be presented with a full breakdown of your flight itineraries so you can make easy comparisons with other providers and make sure that the times and prices are all satisfactory.

Final Words

OnTheFly for iPhone and iPad is well worth checking out if you’re on the lookout for relatively low-cost flights. If they combined this with features from a flight status app, I would then say this is a must have app.
