I’m not a huge fan of overly elaborate weather apps that offer radar map imagery and all the bells and whistles; frankly, I think most of that is irrelevant for the average person. If you’re like me and you prefer a slightly more aesthetic approach to the weather then you’ll definitely like Morning Rain.

I find it hard to interpret Fahrenheit as I’ve always worked in Celsius what with being from the UK, so I was also pleased to see that this app offers support for both units, and you can switch between them very quickly without having to go through a convoluted settings menu.

• I personally don’t have a bad word to say about this app but there have been some questions raised on the iTunes description page regarding the accuracy of the forecasts; this mostly appears to be users splitting hairs but I thought it worth mentioning

Morning Rain for iPhone and iPad is a great addition to the Weather category of the App Store which receives a strong recommendation from me!
