Morning Rain is a gorgeous weather forecasting app for iPhone and iPad that features a slick interface design that allows you to import images from your Camera Roll to use as custom backgrounds while enjoying all the detail the app has to offer.
I’m not a huge fan of overly elaborate weather apps that offer radar map imagery and all the bells and whistles; frankly, I think most of that is irrelevant for the average person. If you’re like me and you prefer a slightly more aesthetic approach to the weather then you’ll definitely like Morning Rain.
Morning rain is usually something that most of us hate to see, but in the case of this app I think you’re going to love what you see as it features a lavishly designed interface with beautiful background settings that can be customized.
This app is a global weather utility which provides the current conditions and forecasts for locations across the globe, plus you can store multiple locations and easily switch among them with a quick swipe.
Support for Fahrenheit and Celsius
Morning Rain shows all of the usual details such as the temperature, humidity, and precipitation for up to five days ahead, and you can use your device’s integrated GPS to instantly view the current weather for your local area.
I find it hard to interpret Fahrenheit as I’ve always worked in Celsius what with being from the UK, so I was also pleased to see that this app offers support for both units, and you can switch between them very quickly without having to go through a convoluted settings menu.

I personally don’t have a bad word to say about this app but there have been some questions raised on the iTunes description page regarding the accuracy of the forecasts; this mostly appears to be users splitting hairs but I thought it worth mentioning
Form over function
Morning Rain for iPhone and iPad is a great addition to the Weather category of the App Store which receives a strong recommendation from me!
