If you have a child or maybe a few kids who can't get enough of the Transformer Rescue Bots TV series here's a chance to enjoy it in a different way. The Transformers Rescue Bots app for your iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone is an interactive book that is filled with action, adventure, and all their favorite Rescue Bots. Each page of the book includes voices and actions so that kids are immersed from start to finish. There are a couple of different reading modes and other features built-in.
Kids will feel as though they are part of the story and part of the adventure in the Transformers Rescue Bots app. When the app is first launched they are greeted by Optimus Prime who lays out the background of the adventure and kids will take the role as a new cadet who is on the Griffin Rock Rescue team. All the key characters are here: Heatwave, Chase, Boulder, Blades, and even Cody and his family. Everyone will need to work together in this interactive story in an effort to save the Sky Forest and the town.
The app was updated with a small fix last summer and it doesn't score very high with users. It has a customer rating of a rather average three out of five stars. It seems some users have had issues with it crashing, but it doesn't seem widespread because other customers have had great and smooth experiences with the app.

Made for Kids
Because the Transformers Rescue Bots app has been made for kids you'll find plenty of kid-friendly features along the way such as the fact you can choose the Read Along or Read To Me mode in order to fit their reading level. Their character isn't just in the book they are actually the main focus so that means kids will feel part of the team. When they finish their “mission” they will even be able to snap a photo of themselves which looks like they are with the other Rescue Bots.
Developers have tried to make the experience about more than just fun though as it also helps with a number of skills such as problem solving, working on early reading skills, learning new words, learning the importance of being a team member, and more. The graphics are great and look just like the popular TV series, in that sense kids will love what it has to offer.
