This app will eliminate the need for you to have several news apps on your iDevice, bringing you the most awesome mainstream and other popular news sources covering everything from breaking news to gossip and sports news.
You'll find it in the News section of the App Store, where it can be purchased for $1.99.
Info Junkie is a very lightweight app, taking up just 2.6 MB of space on your iPhone or iPad. This lightweight app functions really swiftly, with a beautiful user interface which allows for easy browsing and reading of news items.
From LA Times to Gizmodo, ESPN to OK! Magazine, this app will bring you all your favorite news interests in one place, no matter how diverse your taste may be.
News stories of your choice will be sent over to you via push notifications, so you never miss a beat on what's going on in the world.
Customize Your News Feed
Inevitably, with an app like this one, there will be plenty of news sources that you don't want crowding up the news feed. The developers have given this consideration and consequently added a feature that gives users the ability to delete the sources they don't want to see.
You can further customize your news consumption by setting a default news source for each category, or even add the sites you don't find on the app database by simply entering the URL!
Although there are no ads on the app itself, you are generally redirected to the source website when you want to read an article, so ads will be displayed then, and these can get particularly annoying on entertainment websites. The ads are the only downside of the app but I suppose the developers can't really do anything about that short of re-hauling the entire concept of the app.
Set up your favorite news source as the default page for various categories
Receive push notifications anytime
There are ads on the source websites which detract from the user experience
Info Junkie is a neat app to have on your iPhone or iPad if you're looking to save space and want to get rid of the dozen or so news apps from various sources. If you're the kind of user who isn't bothered by ads, then this is a clear winner.
