These pieces are not pornography. There is a disclaimer right on the description because some people just can’t appreciate art. The app is filled with many different images from a mother and child playing to hunters chasing a deer. The scenes are realistically painted in that often a child will interrupt a bathing mother and beg to join her, and when hunter gatherers go hunting, they are often naked or minimally clothed. There are many other images that appear in natural form and state.

Representation

Artistic Nudes has another disclaimer in that the paintings don’t represent any living person. This is a safe bet because most of the artists and their muses are now deceased. The fact remains though that many of the artists would have had a muse pose for their painting, and if not actually pose, they would observe sports matches, watch people in the street, in the public baths, and so on. There were plenty of nude opportunities before society became so afraid of the naked body.

This app has an easy to navigate menu. When you first open it, you see the painting of the day in a nice frame. From there you can select to view fullscreen, or view album collection. Fullscreen is self-explanatory. The album view appears in a 3 x 3 grid. Just scroll sideways to view the next nine to choose from. If you’d like, you can select to view in a slideshow from here as well.
