Calorie Count Down Lite allows you to easily track your intake of calories by clicking on your items. The lite version allows a maximum of three entries per day, maximum of six favorites, and maximum of 10 history items. Additionally, there is one reminder, and one custom message to keep you motivated!

This app is the lite version so there is no database for foods. You must enter your calories manually, but you can try out the app and see if you’d like to purchase the full version. This version allows you to set your profile to have a count down from your allotted daily calories, as well as tracking your weight. If you’re worried about privacy, then set a passcode for your fully archived data so you never have to re-enter your foods.

Calorie Count Down Lite allows you to play with the app prior to committing to purchase. I like it when app developers provide this option, because it means that if I am unsure about spending a few dollars on an app, then I can check it out to see if it’s a good fit for me first. Thank you!

This particular app displays your remaining calories in countdown format, and provides a weekly and daily report. You can set reminders so you don’t forget to input your daily foods, and if you want them to repeat daily then go for it, but if you would prefer a weekly to enter your weigh in then you can do that too. Also, if you’re trying to train yourself to eat more frequently, then you can use the reminders to help you eat snacks between meals too.

Another thing I want to mention is that the app automatically archives your previous week’s data. When it’s archived, it’s still easily accessed, which is important so I can look back and see what I had last week that upset my stomach. I have a lot of food intolerances from gluten and dairy to nightshades and rice. If I can track my food intake to note what I’ve eaten that may be the issue, then this is very helpful not only for my weight loss efforts, but also from a health standpoint.

Final Thoughts

Calorie Count Down Lite is an iPhone and iPad calorie tracking app that will help you in your weight loss goals or just to track what foods you’ve eaten. As mentioned above, I tried it out for both to eliminate my food intolerances from my diet, but also to track my intake to continue on my post-pregnancy weight loss goals. Overall, this app is a great sample of the full version.
