Color Flow app review: an addictive game of lines

Reviews

Introduction

Whoever thought that something as simple as lines could cause so much challenge in a game? In the Color Flow app for your iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone, your goal is to pair up each of the matching dots on the game board by drawing a line to connect them. It sounds easy, right? Guess again, because the catch here is that the lines can never cross each other and every dot needs to be paired up. You are given a huge amount of levels in various difficulties to try to solve.

A Real Brain Teaser

The Color Flow app provides players with a real brain teaser thanks to the 375 free levels they can play. You've also got three different levels of difficulty which are easy, medium, and hard. They are determined by the board size you pick. The app supports Game Center and achievements for that added touch of challenge. The goal in this game is to pair up all of the colored dots on the game board by connecting them with a line. The trick of course is that the lines can never cross each other. What starts off seemingly relatively easy can get pretty tricky as you draw close to finishing the board.

Gaming Features

Besides the challenging and addictive gameplay the Color Flow app has some other features worth pointing out. For instance there are hints you can use to help you solve the board. In the free version of the game you've got 10 available to you. There are five different board sizes to play on and these will certainly change up just how you play. The animations and sounds both feel professional and very well done, for color impaired users there are labels you can use, and you can turn the night mode off or on. What's great is that as challenging as this one is it's still got a laid-back feel since there is no time limit or clock ticking. You can take your time and be sure to solve the level.
