Fun for All

Power Blitz is fun for anyone of any age to play. Whether you’re a two-year-old messing around on your parent’s device, or a kid just learning how to match, you can play and have fun with the 3D eggs in this game. I appreciated the easy to see, large size of the eggs, and the fun animations that went along with the game.

The game is easy enough to play. Like other match-three games, all you have to do is find three or more that you can line up to blast through for points. When you get a match, an electric lightning bolt zaps through the game board to destroy the eggs. It was fun for my two-year-old to play, and just as fun for me to play on my own.

What I Didn't Like

Power Blitz does not have a go back to the menu or restart button. This means that when you’re stuck, you have to wait for the timer to run out or pause and stare at the screen until you can figure it out. This was annoying because a few times I’d be playing and run out of moves, but instead of the board shuffling, or automatically getting a new level, I’d have to wait for the timer to tick down until I could try again.

I also noticed that there are not multiple levels. What you see is what you get, and you just have to keep trying to get more points. This is okay, but it does wear on you as you play the game over and again. I’m not one for playing repetitive things, so I tired of the same page again and again, but my kids thought it was fun and have been playing for a few days now.
